PAWS (Promoting Animal Welfare and Services) is a non-profit, student volunteer organization within the Center for Community Outreach at the University of Kentucky, dedicated solely to the welfare of animals. As part of the Center for Community Outreach, we strive to educate the public by breaking down the walls of discrimination of “bully" breeds and by taking a stand against Breed Specific Legislation through community awareness events.

It is our mission to positively impact the lives of any animals in need by providing volunteers, educating the public, and advocating for those without a voice. This year, we held our first ever "Pictures with Santa PAWS" to help raise money for a local rescue! Like us on Facebook for more updates on our group and how you can be involved!

Saturday, April 16th of 2016 from 9:30am-12pm we will host our 5th Annual Bully Breed Awareness Walk in downtown Lexington to raise awareness about breed discrimination and advocate "Bully" breeds and ending Breed Specific Legislation.

Learn more about Breed Specific Legislation here.
